Boat on Lake

Sophie Morse, M. Div

In all ways I strive to build bridges between how we are and how we are called to be as practitioners of
radical and inclusive love.

About sophie

Sophie is a healer, coach, facilitator, minister, and change-maker.

Originally from New England, Sophie grew up exploring, hiking, and messing about in boats in the mountains and coastline of New England and Eastern Canada. Her love of the outdoors became a foundation of her spirituality and fueled her first career as a professional mariner.

Later moving to the Pacific Northwest, Sophie answered a call to ministry and reconciliation work, earning her Master of Divinity at Seattle University, becoming a certified mediator, and training in multiple healing modalities. Since 2012 she has worked as both minister and trainer in conflict engagement and communication skills, helping hundreds of others to master the skills of both deep listening and courageous speaking. Sophie combines all of these skills in her one-on-one work as coach and spiritual director.

Sophie lives with her partner in the Puget Sound area of Washington State. In her spare time, Sophie enjoys gardening, entertaining friends, advocating for a re-visioned future, and pursuing her endless curiosity of the sacred.

faith Background

Sophie identifies as a contemplative Christian who answers both the call of the mystic and the activist. Her faith journey encompasses Nature-based spirituality, Progressive Christianity, and the study of both contemplative and revolutionary masters from numerous traditions.

At all times Sophie strives to build bridges between how we are and how we are called to be as practitioners of radical and inclusive love. For guidance on building these bridges Sophie turns to both mystics and founders of liberation, womanist, and queer theology past and present.
